‘Pancheswor, other treaties will gain momentum during ambassador Puri’s term’

KATHMANDU, April 11: CPN-UML leader Madhav kumar Nepal has expressed his confidence that Nepal-India bilateral initiatives including Pancheswor Multi-Purpose Project along with other agreements and treaties would take momentum during the tenure of Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri.

At a courtesy meet held at leader Nepal’s residence this evening, the two discussed several matters concerning Nepal-India relations and contemporary political situation, shared former Prime Minister Nepal’s Press Aide Mohan Gautam.

On the occasion, Ambassador Puri recalled the meeting with leader Nepal when the later visited India in the capacity of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs in 1994.

Puri also lauded leader Nepal’s role for the advancement of democracy in Nepal and consolidating the Nepal-India relations. RSS
