KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Newly elected House of Representative member and former DIG Nawaraj Silwal has accused the government of using its power to take political revenge on him. He has also said that he would relentlessly confront government’s ‘drama’.

“I am a people’s representative and a responsible law-abiding citizen. As the time is running out, power is being used to attack the opponent to avenge the political revenge. But, I will confront the drama rendered against me relentlessly,” tweeted Silwal today morning.

Silwal is fleeing after the Kathmandu Police issued an arrest warrant against him on January 2 in charge of forging the documents of his performance evaluation and submitting to the Supreme Court in order to claim his promotion to the IGP last year.

The Police had reached Silwal’s residence in Lalitpur the next day, but had failed to arrest Silwal as he was not there. He has been believed to have fled from Nepal following the order of his arrest warrant. His whereabouts is still unknown.
