RJPN expresses solidarity with ongoing agitation of temporary teachers

KATHMANDU, June 21: Coordinator of President Council of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN), Mahantha Thakur, has today expressed solidarity with the ongoing agitation of temporary teachers.

On the occasion, Chairman Thakur said that the demands of temporary teachers should be fulfilled. The Temporary Teachers Struggle Committee has been staging the hunger-strike from June 16, demanding permanency of all temporary teachers across the nation through normal process.

Chairman Thakur and Anil Kumar Jha, among others reached Bhadrakali, where five temporary teachers have been staging fast-on-to-death for the past six days, and expressed solidarity.

Chairman Thakur said that he talked with the Prime Minister and Education Minister about the problems of temporary teachers and urged them to address the demands and the Prime Minister was positive towards it. RSS
