Rowdy elephant Dhrube eats up Rs 1.6 million from state coffers



CHITWAN: The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has spent Rs 1.6 million to control the rampage of rowdy elephant of the NPC, infamously known as Dhrube.

The CNP officials said that Dhrube, which killed 15 people in Chitwan and nearby areas, was out of contact since 30 December 2012.

A radio collar at Nirmalbasti area in Parsa district had traced the Dhrube for the last time on February 6. “We have no information about Dhrube since then,” an official said
