Stern action if govt officials don’t deliver effective service: Pandit



KATHMANDU, DEC 16:  Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit warned that the government would take stern action if the government employees failed to deliver service sticking to their respective shifts.

Speaking in the interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Tuesday after some government offices started two-shift service today, Minister Pandit has said the new arrangements were made to provide quality service to the general public.

Minister Pandit has said,” The government has started two shift govt. official services to make easiness to the general public, so We need to see the fast and effective services from our officials. If they failed to deliver the effective services then the government will take a strong action against them.” On November 20, the Cabinet had decided to start the 12-hour urgent services to the service seekers, starting from 6 am to 6 pm.

Similarly Minister Pandit said that the newly launched services would be effective to lessen corruption.  The service has been begun at the District Administration Office, the Land Revenue Office, the District Survey Office among others.

On a different note, Minister Pandit said that a strong action would be taken against DV and Green Card holder government employees and necessary acts are being amended for the purpose.
