2 murder suspects held from Gongabu



Kathmandu, Feb 27: Police on Thursday arrested two persons on charge of attacking a man to death in Tokha of Kathmandu on January 14.

Krishna BC aka Kale (28) from Chisapani-1 of Banke district and Abhishek Karki (19) from Gaaighat, Triyuga Municipality-11 of Udayapur were arrested from Gongabu of the Capital yesterday, the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) said.

The duo had murdered 25-year-old Yurung Gurung of Tipling-9 of Dhading in Tokha Municipality-13 on January 14, according to police.

Karki was a staffer at Gongabu-based Koseli Yatayat ticket counter whereas BC would work at local Butwal Siddhababa Guest House, police said.

Police had already arrested another suspect involved in the crime, Kamal Neupane aka Jhyaple on January 27.

The victim was found with a serious injury on his head near the Deep Jyoti School in Tokha-13 by a police team.

He had breathed his last during treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on the same day.

MPCD said the trio including Neupane, Karki and BC had hit Gurung with bricks and stones in a bid to rob him.

The arrestees were handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, for further investigations and actions.
