NC’s conclave begins in Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI: The Mahasamiti Meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) has kicked off in Nawalparasi district this afternoon.

NC President Sushil Koirala inaugurated the jamboree amid a formal program at Adarsha Higher Secondary School in Parasi bazaar, the district headquarters of Nawalparasi.

Currently, top leaders of the NC are addressing the mass meeting.

However, the closed session of the program would be held at Trivenidham, the boardering area of Nepal-India, from tomorrow.

Earlier, an NC cadre was electrocuted while preparing a welcome gate at Bhutaha in Panchanagar VDC in the district. Local Bimal Kanel, 28, died in the incident. Two others have been hurt in the incident. The injured are receiving treatment in Butwal.
