NEA withdraws capacity upgradation of Trishuli 3 ‘A’
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reversed its decision to upgrade the capacity of Trishuli 3 ‘A’ hydropopwr project.
A meeting of the NEA Board held today decided to withdraw its earlier decision, said NEA Executive Director Rameshwor Yadav.
Earlier, the NEA had decided to award the construction of the project to a Chinese company without bidding competition.
Earlier, different trade unions of NEA had announced a series of protest programs challenging the government decision to upgrade the capacity of Trishuli 3 ‘A’ from 60mw to 90mw.
