27th SOS Day marked in Nepal



BHAKTAPUR: The Sanothimi Chapter of the SOS Children’s Village Nepal has marked the 27th SOS Day by organizing a program in the Capital on Sunday.

SOS is an international organization working for the vulnerable children.

The Day is marked every year on June 23, the birthday of the founder of the SOS, Herman Gmeiner.

The SOS Children Village first set up in Austria in 1949 following the second World War has been extended to 133 countries as of now.

National Director of SOS Children’s Village Nepal, Shankar Pradhananga felicitated the donors to the Village including actor Hamal. Director Pradhananga informed that there were nine Children’s Villages across the country, taking care of 1,800 children.
