CA Election will not held in slated time, NC Prez

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said that the election to Constituent Assembly must be held on the stipulated date to free the country from political crisis.

“Now, none can foil election,” he said while addressing a programme organized by Lamjung Constituency No. 1 of the party in the capital city today, according to RSS.

Speaking at a party program here today,’ President Koirala said even the international community was pressing for holding the CA elections.

Corruption was rife in the local bodies for not having election for long, he said, adding that the people were spirited for holding the election. On the occasion, party Spokesperson, Dilendra Prasad Badu, said even the disgruntling CPN-Maoist would finally embrace the CA election.
