Culling of avian affected poultry products begins in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR: The government has deployed 10 rapid response teams to destroy fowls and poultry related products, and other materials in Bhaktapur district following the declaration of bird flu infected area in view of controlling the disease.

According to Chief District Officer (CDO), Himnath Dawadi, as many as 10 rapid response teams were deployed under the leadership of Livestock Disease Control Division since this morning.

The officials of the Department in coordination with local administration had made different teams and are deployed in different VDCs and municipalities in the district, said Khagendra Raj Bhatta, Chief of the District Livestock Service Office.
