Student knock on NOC’s door to pull petro prices
KATHMANDU: Various student organisations gheraoed the Nepal Oil Corporation on Thursday demanding withdrawal of the price hike in petroleum products.
Nepal Students Union (NSU), All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), ANNISU Revolutionary and CPN-Maoist affiliated student organisation, jointly started a two-hour long picketing from 9:00 am today.
NSU Spokesman UP Lamichhane warned that the organisations would resort to stern struggle if the price hike was not withdrawn.
The NOC had hiked price of petrol by Rs. 5, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 3 and domestic aircraft fuel by Rs. 7 on September 10.
