Nepal continue its victory in ACC Premier League
Kathmandu, May 02. Nepal has registered second consecutive win in a row after defeating host Malaysia by five wickets in the ongoing ACC PremierLeague 2014 held at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on Friday.
Nepal chased the target of 150 runs in 37.3 overs with the loss of five wickets as Mahaboob Alam made a half-century scoring 53 runs while Sarad Vesawkar contributed 29 runs. Sub-Captain Mr. Gyanendra Malla and Mr. Binod Bhandari scored 13 runs respectivel each.
In the first inning, Malaysia was restricted just to 149 runs in 43 overs of the allotted 50 overs. Nepal’s Young Cricket star Mr. Sompal Kami has proved himself as the shining star, as he shined in today’s match and has alone grabbed five wickets. Similarly Basanta Regmi took two wickets for Nepal.
Likewise, For Malysia Anwar Arudin made highest 34 runs, Shafiq Sharif 24 runs and Suharril Fetri 22 runs.
In the starting match Nepal had made a flying start after defeating UAE by four wickets. Nepal will play against Oman in its third match of the tournament on Sunday. Similary Nepal will play against Hong Kong on Monday and Afghanistan on Wednesday.
