China welcomes Modi’s invitation to Xi to visit India

Beijing, May 31 (PTI) China today welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to President Xi Jinping to visit India this year and said that the two countries are in touch to finalise the proposed high-level trip.

The invitation to Xi was extended by Modi when Chinese Premier Li Keqiang telephoned to congratulate him on taking over as Prime Minister.
