Three more succumb to flu
JAJARKOT, APR 18: Three more persons have succumbed to swine flu and seasonal flu that have gripped the Jajarkot district, pushing the death toll to 21.
The latest victims are a 26-day-old infant Ritu Tamata of Pajaru VDC and Badi Tamata, 50, and Hansha Bahadur Shahi, 58, of Archhani VDC.
The infant died on Thursday while the others succumbed to the flu on Friday.
Nepali Army health workers and teams from Mission Hospital of Rukum’s Chaurjahari are treating the patients at Talegaun and Archhani villages.
According to the district health chief Dirjung Shah, his office had sent necessary drugs to the flu-hit areas, including Kortang, Thalaraikar, Dah, Garkhakot, Suwanauli, Pajaru, Jhapra, Dashera, Sima, Archhani, Talegaun, Majkot, Rokayagaun and Sakla on Friday.
