Container entering Nepal via third countries
Pathari (Morang), Jan 6: India has allowed the smooth entry of containers coming to Nepal from third countries via Jogbani border point.
According to Rani Customs Office, Biratnagar, Chief Krishna Basnet, daily up to 35 containers are entering Nepal via Indian transit route. Hardly 12 containers of third countries had come via the route till three days back. There was long queue of containers up to five kilometers from Jogbani.
India has permitted the smooth entrance of containers to Nepal from third countries after a Nepali delegation comprising Industries’ Organization Morang, Morang Trade Association and Customs Officer requested representatives of Indian Customs, administration and security to ease border-based supply operation four days back.
