Rs 15 million spent for infrastructure development in Karbakeli



Babiyachaur (Myagdi), Jan 11: The local residents of Karbakeli at Ramche VDC-7 in Myagdi district have developed infrastructures by investing some 15 million rupees for the tourism and religious development of the area.

Infrastructures were developed for the tourism and religious promotion of Karbakeli to lure more tourists for sightseeing and trekking as well as the devotees.Treasurer of Karbakeli Protection Committee Cham Bahadur Pun said that a temple, trekking route, roads and others were built as the part of the infrastructure development. Karbakeli is considered as the Kul Devata of Pun Magar community.

Pun shared that the amount was collected from the Pun Magar community living at home and abroad. Likewise, the local residents donated 21 ropani land for free to carry out the construction works.

Similarly, a meeting hall with its capacity to accommodate as high as 500 people was also constructed.

Chairman of the Committee, Chentu Garbuja, said that construction of a 22-room community lodge is almost completed in the same area. The community lodge would offer accommodation to the guests and visitors coming to pay homage in the Karbakeli.
