‘Genuine demands of Madhes should be addressed’



Kathmandu, Jan 12: Stakeholders have urged to address the genuine demands raised by the Tarai-centric political parties stating that daily life of people across the country was severely affected due to strikes and agitations in the Tarai region.

At a news conference organised by Mission Sindhuli National Front in the capital city on Monday, they asked the government to form a probe panel to investigate the frauds over citizenship distribution and manage border with India as well as take initiatives to claim Nepal’s encroached land from India.On the occasion, former lawmaker Surya Bahadur Sen Oli said that the country would stand sovereign and remain self-reliant if the demands raised by Mission Sindhuli National Front were addressed.

Coordinator of Greater Nepal Campaign, Phanindra Nepal, urged the youth to unite against India’s blockade saying that India imposed the blockade deliberately after the constitution promulgation in Nepal.

Likewise, comedian Shreekrishna Simkhada said that the country should be moved ahead on the path of economic development along with the implementation of the new constitution.
