Speaker pledges to draw government’s attention to reopen Tatopani point



Thumpakhar, March 13:Speaker Onsari Gharti has pledged to draw an attention of the Prime Minister towards reopening the Sindhupalchowk-based Tatopani point bordering with China.

Addressing a school programme here today, the Speaker said the closure of the Tatopani point has caused inconvenience to Sindhupalchowk folks and people of adjoining districts, too, giving assurance that she would draw an attention of the government towards reopening it at the earliest. The point has remained shut with the major earthquake hitting it badly on April 25 last year.
Sharing her views on the new constitution, the Speaker said it is one of the best constitutions in the world and friendly for women, too. Now, country’s wholesome attention be centered on attaining economic and social progress with the effective implementation of the constitution.
Lawmakers Amrit Kumar Bohora, Ramesh Lama, UCPN (Maoist) leader Saral Sahayatri Poudel, Nepali Congress leader Devendra Khanda, Rastriya Prajatantra Party district chair Indra Bahadur Thakuri, Sindhupalchowk’s Chief District Officer Gokarnamani Duwadi, District Education Officer Rudrahari Bhandari and Local Development Officer Krishna Bahadur Shahi insisted on the need of quality education.
