UML can join govt if Maoist-NC pact scrapped-Secretary Bhattarai

Taplejung, July 27: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has noted the possibility of forming a national consensus government including CPN-UML if a new agreement was reached by abrogating the seven-point deal signed between CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepali Congress.

At a press conference organized here Wednesday by Press Chautari Taplejun, leader Bhattarai said outlet to the current problems of the country can be found by forming a national consensus government based on an agreement on constitution implementation, post earthquake reconstruction, tier-wise elections and budget implementation. Claiming that the UML did not allow any damage to sovereignty, independence and decision-making capacity of the country, he said the international maneuvering on Nepal’s politics may increase in the latest backdrop.
