Prez Bhandari saddened on road accident casualties

Kathmandu, Aug 16: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is saddened by and expressed sorrow over the casualties occurred in different road accidents taken place on Monday.

A press communique issued on the behalf of the President Bhandari by the deputy spokesperson Keshav Prasad Ghimire of the office of the President, stated that the President expressed condolences to the deceased and sympathy to the bereaved families. The President also wished speedy recovery to the injured people.

The press statement further reads that President Bhandari has urged the concerned bodies to implement measures aimed at preventing such disasters as road accident cases were increasing of late.

Over 30 people were killed in the bus accidents at Birtadeurali of Kavrepalanchok and Siddheshwar Brindaban of Baitadi district on Monday. RSS
