Six dead in Bolero jeep accident in Kavre

DHULIKHEL, Sept 26: Six people were killed in a road accident involving a Bolero jeep at Nigale, Aambote of Roshi Rural Municipality-3 in Kavrepalanchowk.

A jeep (Ba 14 Cha 9556) heading towards Dandapari from Banepa met with an accident at around 10:45 am, according to Kavrepalanchwok District Police Office Chief, Superintendent of Police Sahakul Bahadur Thapa.

Identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. According to him, 17 passengers were travelling in the jeep when it met with the fatal accident. “A helicopter is already in the site to rescue others,” he added.

The jeep was reserved by travellers heading home for the Dashain festival. Until the filing of this report, preparations were going on to send the injured to Kathmandu for treatment. RSS
