Mandal elected UML parliamentary leader in Province 2

DHANUSHA, Feb 15: Satya Narayan Mandal has been elected as the CPN-UML’s parliamentary party leader for the Province 2.

In the voting held today, Mandal was elected to the post by securing 12 votes against his competitor Shadrudhan Mahato who obtained eight votes while one vote was invalid.

The party had to go for a voting to choose the provincial parliamentary leader after unanimous selection was not possible. The UML has 21 seats in the State Assembly of Province 2 comprising eight districts in the Tarai/Madhes. RSS
