40 hurt in Nuwakot bus accident

NUWAKOT, Aug 15: At least 40 people have been injured in an accident involving a passenger bus on Wednesday.

The bus en route to Kathmandu from Bungtang met with an accident at Lamatar of Bidur Municipality-9.

As stated by the police, the bus (Ba 2 Kha 2804) fell some 40 meters down the road as the road caved in from its edge when the bus was trying to clear space for another vehicle.

Among the injured, seven in critical condition, have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment while others are undergoing treatment at the Trishuli Hospital, according to Nuwakot’s  SSP, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar.
