Asian Games: Nepal competing in 9 games today
KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Nepal is contesting in nine games today in the 18th Asian Games that kicked off in Indonesia on Saturday.
According to training director at the National Sports Council Rim Bahadur Ranabhat, Nepali athletes will be taking part in the Taekwando, Wrestling, Football, Badminton, Wushu, Lawn Tennis, Kabbadi, Shooting and Sepak Takraw.
Nepal is competing in 29 of the 40 games included in the Asian Games. A total of 185 athletes including 129 men and 56 women are representing Nepal in the Games.
The lone Gold medalist in the 10th South Asian Games weight lifter Kamal Bahadur Adhikari was the flag bearer for the Nepali delegation in the inaugural event of the Games.
The Nepali team including a total of 285 members is led by Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Biswakarma while Member-Secretary of NSC Keshav Kumar Bista is the Chef de mission. RSS
