Five members of same family killed in house collapse

SALYAN, Aug 29: Five members of the same family were killed and another was injured when their house collapsed last night at Simkholi of Bagchaur municipality in the district.

Those killed in the incident are 39-year-old Ram Singh Kami, his wife Ramkala Kami, 35, their two daughters – six-year-old Ganga Kami, five-year-old Pramila Kami – and a son, four-year-old Ruplal Kami, the District Police Office, Salyan stated.

The other daughter, 11-year-old Sunita Kami, was rescued and she has sustained injuries.

The ceiling and walls of the one-storey house collapsed, killing them on the spot. Locals had informed the police immediately after the incident. Teams of policemen from Simakholi Police Station and the Area Police Office, Tharmare were mobilized for rescue. RSS
