KATHMANDU, Jan 27: A probe committee formed by National Human Rights Commission to carry out investigation on rape and murder case of Nirmala Panta, has submitted its report to the government on Sunday.

Officiating Secretary of the Commission, Murari Prasad Kharel said that the probe committee submitted its report with four-point recommendation and 24-point directives to the government.

The NHRC will continue its investigation until police ends the investigation into the case, reads the report.

The Commission had formed a probe committee comprising experts from different areas on November 13, 2018 to carry out an investigation into the incident taken place on July 26, 2018 in Kanchanpur district.

Former Deputy Attorney General, Narendra Pathak, is coordinator of the committe while former Deputy Inspector General, Bigyan Raj Sharma, forensic expert Dr Harihar Wasti and DNA expert Dinesh Jha are the members.
