‘Medical Education Bill brought to expand general people’s access to health service’

Pokhrel

NAWALPARASI, Feb 1: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokharel Friday viewed that the Medical Education Bill has been brought with the aim to make health services more people-centered and expand general people’s access to it.

“The Bill is brought after holding extensive discussions and taking into account reports submitted by various committees and a taskforce formed for this purpose. It has kept in view rural people being deprived of health facility across the country,” he said at a press conference here.

So it is irrelevant to deny that the Bill has not addressed anyone’s demands, he said. In another context, he viewed that tenure of the two transitional justice commissions be extended to finish the remaining tasks to conclude the peace process. RSS
