KATHMANDU, May 3: The government is to give continuity to legal reforms in order to make the judicial administration simple, economical and effective from the coming fiscal year.

Presenting the government’s policies and programs in the joint meeting of federal parliament on Friday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari said the fourth five-year strategic plan of the judiciary would be implemented by giving continuity to legal reforms in coming fiscal year.

Free legal support would be provided to violence victim women, single women, persons with disabilities, Dalits, children and senior citizens to ensure their access to justice.

The remaining works related to transitional justice would be completed by amending laws and appointing office-bearers.

Similarly, those involved in any criminal activities would be booked at any cost. Crime investigation would be based on truth and scientific evidence; and capacity of human resources involved in investigation and prosecution would be developed in line with the policies and programs. RSS
