NCP nominates Shakya, Dhakal and Adhikari to organization department

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Nepal Communist Party has nominated three members to its organization department on Wednesday.

A meeting of the party secretariat nominated Astha Laxmi Shakya, Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal and Hari Adhikari to the organizational department.

The organization department of the ruling party now has five members. Bam Dev Gautam is the head and Janardam Sharma is the deputy.

The meeting has also directed the province and lower committees to recommend candidates for the by-election by October 27, said NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

The by-election is scheduled for November 30, which will elect 42 ward chairs, one House of Representatives member, three National Assembly members, one mayor, three rural municipality chairman and one rural municipality deputy chair.
