NCP Secretariat meeting discuss reorganization of Council of Ministers
KATHMANDU, Nov 20: A meeting of the secretariat of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has begun at the official residence of Prime Minister in Baluwatar.
The secretariat meeting is discussing the possible changes in the council of ministers and will make a concrete decision regarding the reorganization which is expected to take place today afternoon.
Earlier today, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli and NCP Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal had held consultation with President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Sital Niwas about the cabinet reshuffle.
Oli has already informed the ministers about his plan to axe some ministers and introduce new faces in his cabinet.
According to sources, Oli is planning to axe Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Lal Babu Pandit, Women and Social Welfare Minister Thamamaya Thapa Magar, Industry and Commerce Minister Matrika Prasad Yadav, Agriculture Minister Chakrapani Khanal, Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Gokarna Bista and Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bishwakarma.
