Prachanda confident that people will defy Baidya’s band



BIRATNAGAR: Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the people will reject and counter the bandh called by the Mohan Baidhya-led CPN-Maoist in its bid to foil November 19 election.

At a meeting with the cadres gathering in Biratnagar this morning, Dahal said the bandh called from November 11 to 20 will not make any impact in the November 19 elections. There is no meaning of the Bandh if we are to draft constitution that addresses their demands as well as the people’s rights, he said.

The Maoist boss also informed that he has taken initiative for co-work with those favoring change and federalism for drafting a democratic constitution adding, parties have agreed to make constitution within one year of CA elections.

Also the former Prime Minister, Chairman Dahal expressed happiness over increasing wave of supports to his party and claimed that his party will garner majority in the elections.

Dahal called on party leaders and cadres to make the election successful as it is necessary for guaranteeing all the people their rights and for resolution of political crisis in the country
