Tarun Dal published its 4th general convention’s calendar



Kathmandu, September 4. The youth wing of ruling party Nepali Congress (NC), Nepal Tarun Dal has published a calendar for its fourth general national convention.

Organising a press conference in the Reporter’s Club Nepal on Thursday, the NTD said the convention will be held on 26-28 November.

NTD President Uday Shumsher Rana said the date was decided from a full central committee meeting on August 31-September 1 in Kathmandu.

Rana added that his organisation is fully committed to hold the gala as scheduled.

Speaking at the function, NTD leader Medini Prasad Sitaula urged leaders of political parties to promulgate the new constitution in time to ensure youth’s bright future in the nation.

According to the NTD calendar, the memberships will be distributed by September 21 whereas conventions of village and city committees will be held from September 22 to 30.

The regional conventions will be held from October 8 to 16 whereas the NTD will organise district conventions from November 1 to 11. Various committees have been formed to prepare for the big meeting.

NTD President Rana heads the main organising committee. An election committee has been formed under the leadership of senior advocate Baburaja Joshi.

NTD central committee members Radha Ghale, Krishna Dutta Paneru, Narayan Bhattarai and Medini Prasad Sitaula head finance committee; management committee; vision, policy and programme committee; and publicity committee respectively.
