President Bhandari returns home (In Pictures)

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has returned home on Wednesday evening after wrapping her state visits to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Japan.

Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, National Assembly Chair Ganesh Timilsina, Deputy-prime minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel, Deputy leader of parliamentary party of Nepal Communist Party Subash Nembang, ministers and among others welcomed Bhandari at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

President Bhandari embarked on state visit to Myanmar at the friendly invitation of her Burmese counterpart Win Myint on October 16. During her visit to Myanmar, she held meeting with Burmese President Myint and State Councilor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi.

After wrapping her Myanmar visit, she then flew to Japan on October 20 to attend the enthronement ceremony of Japan’s Emperor Naruhito.
