Nepal’s COVID-19 cases climb to 487

KATHMANDU, May 22: Nepal’s coronavirus cases climbed to 487 after the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed 30 new cases on Friday.

According to a press release issued by the Assistant Spokesperson at the ministry, Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, a 45-year-old male from Tribeni rural municipality-6 of Nawalparasi (east); a 74-year-old male and a 73-year-old female from Bharatpur-6 of Chitwan; two males aged 33 and 35 and a female aged 15 from Susta rural municipality-5, Ramgram municipality-3, 18 of Nawalparasi; eight males aged 24, 25, 27, 29, 34, 36, 45 and 53 and an eight-year-old girl from Banganga municipality and Mayadevi rural municipality of Kapilvastu; and 14 males aged 22, 22, 24, 25, 25, 27, 32, 34, 34, 35, 38, 38, 38, 39 and a female aged 18 from Gadtauta municipality-8, 9, 11, 13, 14 and Ramnagar Bahuarwa rural municipality-7 of Sarlahi have tested positive for the virus.
