India convinced of PM Oli’s decision power: Indian Foreign Secretary



Kathmandu, March 15: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said Nepal expected India’s cooperation in its development endeavours as Nepal was into the economic development phase.

In a meeting with the Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, PM Oli reiterated that the government was conscious as well as committed to not allowing the Nepali territory to be used against any neighbouring country.
The Prime Minister also opined that the bilateral relations between the two countries have been further strengthened by his official visit to India last month, according to the Pramod Dahal, the Prime Minister’s press advisor.
PM Oli said that there was no any political problem in the country at present and that the government was committed to seeking out solution through dialogue and talks even if there are any problems anywhere.
The Indian Foreign Secretary is in Nepal in connection with attending the SAARC Foreign Ministers’ meeting taking place in Pokhara.
During the meeting with the Prime Minister, Jaishankar said India wished to be of assistance for Nepal’s stability and development, adding that India would also be benefited positively if there is stability and development in Nepal.
The Indian Foreign Secretary stated that the Government of India had great confidence in Prime Minister Oli’s decision power and urged him to carry ahead the works on which Nepal and India have agreed to in the past but which remain stalled.
