The Himalayan Voice hits news stands in US
USA (California), May 22: The Nepali community living in the western part of the United States has brought out The Himalayan Voice, an English-language newspaper.
Mayor of Artesia City, Victor Manalo launched the paper amidst a function on Friday. On the occasion, the Mayor expressed his best wishes for the continuity of the publication, saying publications like this one would help in the socialization of the Nepali community in the US.
This is the first English-language newspaper published in the US by the Nepali community althoughNepali-language papers are already in publication, Chief Editor of the newspaper Purushottam Dhakal said.
The editorial board comprises Yogesh Upadhyay, Rajesh Mishra, Rameshwar Bhandari, Sudip Panta, David Swanson and Kishor Panthi.
The fortnightly newspaper is a sister publication of news portal www.nepal24hours.com, that has been covering south Asian world from United States for last five years. RSS
