No doubt election will take place in Terai: Paswan

KATHMANDU, March 3: Chairperson of Bahujan Shakti Party Biswandra Paswan has cleared that his party will take part in election.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal  today, leader Paswan said, “Dreams of people killed during the Madhes agitation has not been fulfilled yet. In order to institutionalize the achievements of democracy, election is compulsory.”

“Honorable Prime Minister, you have nothing to fear. Election will take place at any cost including Terai,” he added.

Paswan, also former Minister of Nepal, added, “Constitution amendment was not the country’s current need. Although we are against the constitution amendment bill, we will take part in the election for sake of constitution implementation,” he furthered, “Dalit, backward and muslim community’s rights must be guaranteed in Nepal’s constitution through quota system.”

He also demanded proper punishment to the land brokers who made Musahar, Chamar, Dusad, Khwattma and dalits.
