No agreements with Madhesi Front have been made: Brikesh Chandra Lal
KATHMANDU, April 2: Senior leader of United Democratic Madhesi Front Brikesh Chandra Lal has clarified that no agreement between ruling coalition and Madhesi Front were made.
“Madhes is looking for outcome. We have not agreed on anything,” he said speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Clun Nepal on Sunday.
He warned that Madhesi Front would not participate in the upcoming local level election if constitution amendment bill is not endorsed. “We will even disrupt the election,” he added.
Leader Lal also accused government to have ignored Madhes grievances and encouraged conflict across the country by announcing the date of local level election.
He also stressed on endorsing the constitution amendment bill with revision and then holding local level election. “This election can be postponed and rescheduled to Jestha so that more discussion on the amendment bill can be held.”
