Nepalis living in USA donate 20 million rupees to Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation

MAHOTTARI, April 3: A Nepalese-based organization in Minesotta, USA called Association of Nepalis in Minesotta has donated about 20 million rupees to Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation which has been building an integrated settlement for Musahar community in Bardibas of Mahottari district.

The foundation is run by Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali).

The association’s board members Anil Rayamajhi and Sweety Singh handed over the amount to the duo reaching the settlement area in Mahottari on Sunday.

“We are really impressed by the works done by the Dhurmus-Suntali foundation for social welfare. We feel proud to support the noble works of the foundation,” said Rayamajhi.

“Now, we can hand over the settlement without any difficulty,” said Kattel, who is the chairman of the foundation after receiving support.

The foundation is preparing to hand over the settlement to the community after ten days. Musahar community is considered one of the most underprivileged community living in plains of Nepal.
