Hat-trick for Nembang after winning parliamentary election in Panchthar
PANCHTHAR, Dec 9: CPN-UML’s left alliance candidate Basanta Kumar Nembang has been elected as the parliamentary member for the third time from Panchthar. He won the election defeating his Nepali Congress rival Bhimsen Angdembe by securing 38,641 votes. Angdembe got 28,025 votes.
Nembang won the Legislative election in 1991 and 1998. He was defeated by Nepali Congress’ Deepak Prasad Baskota in 1994 Legislative elections. However, he was not in the election race in 2008 and 2013 Constituency Assembly elections.
