Conclusion of three level elections major gains: Deuba

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has taken successful conclusion of all three levels of elections as major achievements of his tenure as the Prime Minister of Nepal.

In his address to the people today from the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, PM Deuba said the elections were held as part of implementing the new constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. He also informed that the State Assembly and provincial government were also formed during the term of this government. The government made progress in executing the projects of national pride like fast track, Budhi Gandaki Hydropower and Melamchi Drinking Water projects, he added.

Stating that during his term, a balanced foreign policy was adopted with the neighbors, keeping the people’s interests in the center, he said progress in the domestic investment was encouraging. During the address, the Prime Minister thanked all those coalition partners in his government and political parties who had support for it. He had announced that he would resign from the post of Prime Minister today itself.
