Baluwatar land scam

KATHMANDU, May 2: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota, has made it clear that the government would not spare anyone involved in the Baluwatar land scam.

Spokesperson of the government, Minister Banskota further said the government had a clear stand on the scam.

Once the evidence is established on the registration of Baluwatar land scam, those involved in it would be taken action. At a press meet organized to share the decisions made by the recent Cabinet meeting, he added, “Investigation on the land of Lalita Niwas in Baluwatar is going on.

For the protection of government land, if the evidence and proof show the involvement of the persons irrespective of any political party, they would be meted out the action.

” He, however, showed concern that this issue was raised in a biased manner, the government was unnecessarily targeted.

“Anyone- whether Bishnu Poudel, Sher Bahadur Deuba or Subarna Shamsher is connected to it, the investigation does not stop,” the Spokesperson reiterated.

According to him, none can misuse government property. “We’re clear that land ownership certificate may not have mentioned ‘general secretary’, ‘president’ or former prime minister’. It’s government duty to take punitive measure against the violation of constitution, laws and their interpretations. None needs to be disillusioned on it. Government can’t ignore this issue.” RSS
