Nepal is a brother nation, says Indian Defense Minister Singh https://nepalireporter.com/2020/06/264114 https://nepalireporter.com/2020/06/264114#respond Tue, 02 Jun 2020 19:08:17 +0000 https://en.reportersnepal.com/?p=264114 “Nepal and India are brother nations. Differences occur between the members of a family. We will definitely resolve the problem through talks,” said Singh in an interview with News 18 India on Tuesday.]]>

KATHMANDU, June 2: Nepal and India are brother nations and any disputes surfaced between the nations will be resolved through dialogues, said Defense Minister of India Rajnath Singh.

Singh’s remark comes amid Nepal’s preparation to amend the Schedule-3 of the Constitution of Nepal to update the revised Nepal map in the national emblem.

The diplomatic tensions between the two neighbors over the territories of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura at the north-western frontier have heightened of late after India opened a link road to Mansarovar via Lipulekh. In response, Nepal, toughening its decade-long claims on its territory, on May 18 released its new administrative map incorporating these territories inside Nepali border that covers an area of 335 square kilometer area.

The demands for the New Nepal map had already raised six month ago when India published its new map placing these territories inside Indian border.

“Nepal and India are brother nations. Differences occur between the members of a family. We will definitely resolve the problem through talks,” said Singh in an interview with News 18 India on Tuesday.

Nepal has consistently maintained that the territories east of Mahakali river including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipu Lekh belong to Nepal as per the 1816 Sugauli Treaty.

Nepal had also expressed disagreement toward the understanding reached between India and China to include Lipu Lekh, which lies inside the Nepali border, as a bilateral route without Nepal’s consent during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to China on May 15, 2015.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal described the Indian move to open the link road as “unilateral act” and asked India to “refrain from carrying out any activity inside the territory of Nepal”.

But, India claimed the road lies in Indian territory stating the road “follows the pre-existing route used by the pilgrims and the same road has been made pliable for the ease and convenience of pilgrims, locals and traders.”

A week later, Indian Army Chief General Naravane said “Nepal might have raised the issues at the behest of someone else.”

When inquired if Nepal released the New map at the direction of China, Singh said, “I don’t want to make any accusation to Nepal here. Nepal is a brother to India, and India cannot risk breaking such close relationship.

“Like I said, there can be friction between brothers. We will sit for dialogue and definitely resolve the problems.”

“No Indian people have hard feeling over Nepali people. And Nepali people also do have the same feeling. We share relation at people-to-people level. They are attached emotionally to each other.

India has said it “won’t accept” the new Nepal map as it is “an artificial enlargement of territorial claims which are not based on historical facts and evidence”.

India “open to engaging with Nepal on basis on mutual sensitive and respect” https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/264036 https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/264036#respond Fri, 29 May 2020 08:45:55 +0000 https://en.reportersnepal.com/?p=264036 India is open to engaging with Nepal on the basis of mutual sensitivity and mutual respect in an environment of trust and confidence to resolve the border issues, said Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said on Thursday.]]>

KATHMANDU, May 29: India is open to engaging with Nepal on the basis of mutual sensitivity and mutual respect in an environment of trust and confidence to resolve the border issues, said Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said on Thursday.

India’s statement comes amid the Nepal government’s preparation to amend the constitution to update the Nepal map in the national emblem as per the revised administrative map that incorporates Kapalani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura inside Nepali border.

A constitution amendment proposal has been registered in the parliament and the government awaits for Nepali Congress’s official decision to this regard to present the bill for discussion although the main opposition party has said it has full support to the amendment.

Nepal on May 18 released its new map incorporating the encroached territories—which India also claims as its own—in response to India’s move of opening a link road to Mansarovar via Lipulekh.

India had described the Nepal move as “unilateral act” and “artificial”.

“On the recent developments in the boundary issue, we continue to monitor the situation in Nepal We note that this matter is receiving a careful concentration in Nepal,” said Srivastava.

“This is a continuous process and it requires constructive and positive efforts.”

He also said India “attaches great importance to the deep-rooted historical, cultural and friendly relations with Nepal”.

“In recent years these relations have seen an upward trajectory which is visible from expansion and diversification of our bilateral cooperation. There is also increased Indian assistance for development and connectivity projects.

“We have had a timely implementation of several large-scale and critical projects. And even in these challenging times of Covid-19 pandemic, India has ensured unimpeded trade and supply of essentials including medicines to Nepal, besides providing assistance in terms of medical supplies and other facilitation,” he said.

‘I didn’t support India’—Barsa corrects her words after controversial interview https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/263935 https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/263935#respond Mon, 25 May 2020 08:55:50 +0000 https://en.reportersnepal.com/?p=263935 Barsa Raut controversyActress Barsa Raut admitted it was her “wrong choice of vocabulary” that brought her to a huge controversy and explained she neither meant to support India nor offend the journalists of Nepali media.]]> Barsa Raut controversy

KATHMANDU, May 25: Actress Barsa Raut admitted it was her “wrong choice of vocabulary” that brought her to a huge controversy and explained she neither meant to support India nor offend the journalists of Nepali media.

The 26-year-old actress became a clown among public and social media users after she, in an interview, accused the journalists of both Nepali and India media of exaggerating the border row to invite “fight” between the two neighbors, and even expressed shame “how she would face her Indian friends in this situation”.

At a time when the entire public is celebrating Nepal’s May 18 landmark move to release the revised administrative map of Nepal incorporating the encroached territories of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura, the controversial comments of the actress of superhit comedy drama Chhaka Panja put her in an awkward position in front of the Nepali people’s anti-Indian sentiments.

The public had already had enough of India’s big-brother attitude after India in November last year released its new political map including these three Nepal owned territories inside its border, which was followed by India’s “unilateral act” of opening a 79-kilometer long link road to Mansarovar via Lipulekh.

Raut’s unfortunate interview also came days after Bollywood based Nepalese actress Manisha Koirala– who was born in the politically prominent Koirala family–earned heart across Nepal for supporting Nepal’s move for new Map in a tweet here.

Raut was trolled by social media users who took their anger to Twitter, Facebook and Tiktok, some even asking India to take Barsa Raut and return Nepalese territories.

“I spoke in favor of Nepal in the entire interview. But the 15-second time frame where I chose the wrong words really hurt the sentiments of the Nepali people… and I beg my apologies for that,” said Raut in a television interview Janata Janna Chahanchan.

“I am a daughter of Nepali and I always love my motherland. I have never supported India,” she added.

Raut clarified she had tried to stress on the ancient old relation between India and Nepal when she used the words friends.

“But I could not express my feeling correctly through the words…which made a negative impression among the public,” she said.

“What I meant was that the border row should be resolved through diplomatic efforts so that the bilateral relationship between the two countries continue to remain positive.”

“My priority is always Nepal and Nepali people. I would never hurt the sentiments of Nepali people,” she added.

When inquired about her accusations on journalists, she said, she only targeted some media who influence people negatively.

“The Indian media have been producing contents related to Nepali lands based on fake claims, which is condemnable. Likewise, some Nepali media are creating false and bad impression on the public. I am against them. I never meant to offend the journalists.”

“Some of these channels have now been blocked in the Youtube now,” she added.

Party will not ask Prime Minister’s resignation, says Khanal https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/263450 https://nepalireporter.com/2020/05/263450#respond Sun, 03 May 2020 05:18:28 +0000 https://en.reportersnepal.com/?p=263450 Oli-Dahal agreementWhen asked if the party will ask for the prime minister’s resignation, Khanal said, “No, we won’t ask for his resignation.”]]> Oli-Dahal agreement

‘OLI WILL RUN THE GOVT AS PER PARTY’S INSTRUCTION’

KATHMANDU, May 3: After nearly two weeks long intense tussle, the ruling Nepal Communist Party finally put the deadlock to bed on Saturday following a renewed Secretariat meeting, which saw the Executive Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal take his seat on the same line with Prime Minister and another chair K P Sharma Oli.

The dispute between the two factions led by Oli and Madhav Kumar Nepal-Dahal reached a climax after the prime minister suddenly pushed the ordinances related to Political Parties and Constitutional Council in late-mid April without consultation with the party.

And the surprise arrival of President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s approval for the controversial ordinances amid the Secretariat meeting which was urging the prime minister to drop them only frustrated not only the majority of the Secretariat members but also the standing committee, as a result, Oli’s chairmanship and premiership both became an easy target for the rival faction.

Tough Oli was not ready to submit to rivals’ demand and both factions subsequently began the exercise to show their strength in the parliamentary party by collecting signatures in their support, which led to speculations that the party which only merged on the eve of the 2017 Elections is on the verge of an unfortunate disaster.

Oli then played the Bam Dev Gautam card, promising him the position of the prime minister, the position Gautam holds dear since he lost the parliamentary election and he is the only top senior leader in the ruling party not having a chance to lead the government.

The proposal broke the Bhaisapati alliance as Gautam started exploring legal possibilities for his dream job, which also gave Oli majority in the Secretariat as he had already convinced Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa to his side.

The nine-member Secretariat decided to elect Gautam to the House of Representatives “in the appropriate time” and fixed a date for standing committee meeting which seemed uncertain owing to the intraparty feud. The prime minister, who has long been criticized for running the party unilaterally, also agreed to run the government as per the party’s instructions.

The storm seems to have calmed for now but the senior leader and Secretariat member Jhala Nath Khanal argued there is more works to be done yet.

“PM Oli and Dahal self-criticized the weaknesses and showed a willingness to move forward the party in integrity and as per the people’s mandate. I also welcomed the idea and told them that the Secretariat meeting is not enough thus we should call the standing committee meeting immediately and review these issues and reach a conclusion,” said Khanal adding, “Other Secretariat members were also unambiguous to the idea,” he told Rishi Dhamala.

“The ordinances had created a ripple within the party, but now it has relaxed as we all have realized that the party should run in cohesion in principles, police and statute by correcting mistakes instead of disputes.”

“The party has united again,” he added.

The Secretariat has decided to hold the standing committee meeting on May 7.

“As per the conclusion of the standing committee meeting, we will present a report that will put forward the roadmap for the party.”

“PM Oli has also given his word to move ahead in unity. He will run the government as per the instruction of the party.”

When asked if the party will ask for the prime minister’s resignation, Khanal said, “No, we won’t ask for his resignation.”

“The proposal to make Gautam as prime minster has faded for now. But electing him to the House of Representatives is certain.”

“Moreover, the talks about making Nepal as the third chair of the party have also fainted,” he added.

“We are not in the mood for further ripple in the party. We all want to move the government and the party in a stable environment,” he said.

About the possible reshuffle in the Council of Ministers, he said: “These will be done respectively.”

KATHMANDU, April 24: Following the pressure from both the ruling and opposition parties, the government has decided to withdraw the controversial ordinances related to Political Parties and Constitutional Council.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Baluwatar took the decision.

The Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Monday had suddenly introduced the two ordinances shaking the national politics including the ruling party to the root.

The ordinance related to the Political Parties sought an amendment to Political Parties Act paving way for a party to split with 40 percent support from either the party central committee or the parliamentary party while the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council allowed the body to convene a meeting even in the absence of opposition parties.

The ruling party itself expressed serious reservation to both the ordinances saying they could put the party at risk and the ordinances were brought without discussing with the party and the prime minister to drop the ordinances, but President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s approval arrived in the middle of the meeting.

Main opposition party Nepali Congress, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Sajha Party, Samajbadi Party (now Janata Samajbadi) other parties expressed concerns over the prime minister intention toward introducing the ordinances. They also slammed the prime minister’s move as against the spirit of the constitution and attempt to destabilize the national politics.

Moreover, two days after the ordinances were issued, a section of Samajbadi Party lawmakers dissatisfied with chair Upendra Yadav were “forcefully taken” to a hotel in Kathmandu “at the direct order of the prime minister” and were persuaded the split the Samjbadi Party taking advantage of the amendment. According to sources, Samajbadi Vice-chair Renu Yadav was offered the position of deputy-prime minister and two ministerial berths to at least two lawmakers in exchange.

But, in response, the Samajbadi Party and the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal leaders held a joint meeting and gave shape to their long-planned merger announcing a surprise merger at midnight. The new party Janata Samajbadi Party was registered at the Election Commission next morning.

The prime minister tried to clarify his move as “not intended to split the Nepal Communist Party” and, on Thursday, assured he would withdraw the ordinances during separate meetings with another chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The party Secretariat had also exerted pressure on Oli yesterday evening to withdraw the ordinances.

Lockdown not for govt but for people: PM Oli https://nepalireporter.com/2020/04/263249 https://nepalireporter.com/2020/04/263249#respond Sun, 19 Apr 2020 16:00:40 +0000 https://en.reportersnepal.com/?p=263249 Lockdown, coronavirusPrime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured that no one would die of hunger and for lack of treatment in the country. Against this backdrop, RSS Editor-In-Chief Shyam Rimal and Senior Reporter Prakash Silwal along with representatives of the state-owned media houses talked to the prime minister at the latter’s official residence on Saturday.]]> Lockdown, coronavirus

In order to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has enforced a nationwide lockdown since March 24. Although the government’s lockdown efforts have remained successful in preventing the spread of the disease in the country as only one local transmission has been reported so far, it has hit the overall economic activities and the working-class people, especially the daily wagers are at the receiving end.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured that no one would die of hunger and for lack of treatment in the country. Against this backdrop, RSS Editor-In-Chief Shyam Rimal and Senior Reporter Prakash Silwal along with representatives of the state-owned media houses talked to the prime minister at the latter’s official residence on Saturday evening.

Although the situation of coronavirus in Nepal is under control in comparison to many countries across the world, the number of infections has surged lately. This has also raised concerns whether we carried out tests on time. What is your assessment on it?

The coronavirus pandemic is a serious adversity the humankind is facing in the world today. The virus is raging across the whole world which is a serious challenge that we have faced after centuries. To remain safe from its contagion, Nepal adopted some measures on time. We could have prevented the arrival of foreigners from air routes quite before but there was no situation where we could move separately from the global system. Questions would have raised why only Nepal suspended the international flights. The disease has not taken the pandemic form in Nepal, thanks to suspension of the international border points and health precautions.

Whatsoever, we issued the lockdown order. Health security, implementation of the World Health Organization’s standards, advancement in our own learning and promptness in the treatment of the infected are ongoing by maintaining social distancing along with other precautions.

Moreover, the testing system of COVID-19 has now been expanded to all 77 districts. Medical supplies and human resources have been deployed to all sites and the RDT and PRC tests are expedited by identifying the infected and tracing the possible cases. It may be noted that the test of Nepal’s first case was conducted in in Hong Kong. Only after the second case, we started tests in the country.

Are you thinking of changing the modality of lockdown as it is affecting the normal life of public though it is important and other developed countries have also opted for the same modality?

We are working to reduce the impact of the pandemic. We are launching awareness campaigns to combat possible outbreak and fatal effects. We have extended the testing bids by searching for the suspected ones. International borders have been sealed off. We have prioritized the human lives, which cannot be compared in terms of economic loss and gain. The lockdown has been issued to secure the lives of the people, which is aimed at containing the virus from further spreading.

Are you thinking any alternate to the lockdown order or how long will it go?

It’s an effective way to control the deadly virus. It is not the will of the government to enforce a lockdown but for the betterment of the people. We have adopted other methodologies including maintaining social distancing, using the preventing measures and many more. Economic activities could be resumed gradually after analyzing the gravity of its effect and the threat of coronavirus should be brought to an end. It should not be interpreted as a political issue because it is the only way to save the life of people. It may be noted that the rate of damage is seen more where there is no effective lockdown order therefore it could not be interlinked with any political ideology and governance system.

I want to recall the UN Secretary General’s appeal. We further want to urge the world community to support the common appeal of Non-Alignment Movement (NAM) to be called on coming May 5 to fight against the common enemy of the world. Meanwhile, the issue of loosening is not as big as it could be ended but control of COVID-19 matters first. I want to highlight that the health system of the country and infrastructure development regarding the health sectors in each district would be revamped.

How do you interpret the issue of effective management of PPE and other medical stuffs and controversy surrounding procurement of medical supplies?

I want to repeat my commitment to corruption control. I never compromise on it. I am here for developing the nation not to make money. Nor I will let others do so. However, some issues are distorted and manipulated that all corruption cases were made by this government, but the reality is that the previous cases of corruption made by the erstwhile governments were disclosed by this government. One thing is for sure that the journey towards good governance is long.

The Prime Minister does not involve himself in the procurement process like previous ones (prime ministers). Those who did those things in the past now have been spreading the rumor. Making agreements related to the health equipment and scrapping them is the responsibility of the concerned department of Health Ministry. I knew about the decision to scrap the agreement from a press briefing. Making publicity by linking Prime Minister and Council and Ministers in this issue is ludicrous. It is encouraged with a mentality to spread illusion among the people and making the government a failure. Action would be taken against those involved in irregularities. The authorized bodies and persons should use it in an appropriate manner. Action will be taken if anyone is found involved in wrongdoings but we should not discourage the people working in an unfavorable situation by suspecting them.

There are mechanisms like cabinet, High-Level Coordination Committee and CCMC for the Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19. How is the coordination, work division and implementation among such bodies? Who is responsible?

It is the responsibility of all of us. Each individual is a warrior in this fight. The cabinet makes policy-level decision and issues directives. The high-level committee is responsible for coordination. The CCMC makes arrangement for materials, determines priorities and exchanges information. Nepal Army, Nepal Police and the private doctors will be mobilized. We have prepared necessary human resources. It is not right to say that the government did not make any preparation or became a failure. It is not true.

Most of laborers, workers inside the country as well as Nepali citizens in India have started their painful long-distance journey towards their destinations due to the lockdown. How will the government deal with the situation?

Let’s immediately inform the bodies concerned if workers, laborers and other unemployed are found heading on a painful journey towards their hometown from Kathmandu as well as returning home from India following the extension of lockdown. There is ‘Hello Sarkar’ and there are 20 people standby round-the-clock. Inform them. We all should involve to resolve this situation in a constructive way.

The media could also inform by uploading information immediately rather than next day in this situation. We have also been feeling that the general people have been facing problem in this complex situation. First of all, we all should be united to save life from coronavirus infection.

How have arrangements been made to ensure regular supplies of daily essentials during the lockdown?

To ensure supply of daily essentials, shopping centers have been opened at various locations. Inflation has not taken place and use of induction ovens has been encouraged. The country is not under starvation. Action has been taken against those selling adulterated food items. The government is for the poor and helpless people. There is a situation in the country where all can live. If not, why has the government brought the people’s housing program?

Many Nepalis in India are calling for help to return home. Some have been left stranded at Nepal’s border with India. Situation of Nepali migrant workers in the Gulf countries is worsening. What have you thought about them?

They must be brought back home. We want to bring them back home when coronavirus is contained. We have asked concerned authorities to quarantine those who have been stranded at Nepal’s borders or let them stay at hotels at per their wish. It has been found that some of them refused the direction to be quarantined or stay at hotels, but stayed in the no man’s lands instead. We have held talks with respective governments to manage food and accommodation for Nepalis who have been stranded across Nepal’s borders. We will open the borders only after the virus is contained in India. We won’t let Sudur Paschim State become the hotspot of the virus. At this time of emergency, we should not seek rights to mobility as guaranteed by the Constitution of Nepal, but be safe from the infection.

I have held series of talks with my counterparts of the countries where Nepalis are living. In this regard, I have held dialogues with heads of the governments of various countries including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And other mechanisms in Nepal have engaged in talks with concerned authorities in foreign countries.

Governments in the respective countries have said that they would make necessary arrangements for Nepali migrant workers and students there. Therefore, we should not be much worried.

There are talks about providing immediate reliefs to workers and working-class people. But this will have long term impact on the country’s economy. Are preparations in place to address this situation in the government’s upcoming policies, programs and budget?

We will manage food and accommodation for all Nepalis. The situation would have been different had there not been the outbreak. Our goals of development and prosperity would have taken pace. The aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepali, Happy Nepalis’ continues to exist. But the country free of coronavirus would become prosperous. First priority is people’s life at this time of crisis. People’s life should be saved at this difficult situation. We must make people who have not contributed to country’s economy feel that they have right to live. Everyone including the poor, the industrialists, businessmen are affected by this crisis. All workers, farmers, industrialists and business persons have the right to live. Appropriate policies and programs would be brought in view of this crisis.

Though government is working, talks have taken place about the formation of a high-level mechanism to deal with coronavirus. But why did you reject this proposal?

I want to ask this question to those who have put forward this proposal. Which country has formed such mechanism to fight the infection?  There have been support and cooperation from all political parties, sectors and people for the steps the government has taken against coronavirus. The government is ready to accept appropriate suggestions from all sides. The government is coordinating in an appropriate way. The government will fulfill its responsibilities as per the constitution and laws.

It seems the government and the political parties are divided at a time when the government and party leadership should unite and coordinate at this serious situation. It seems there have been disputes between former groups and other camps in the party after the unification.

The government is united. It is moving ahead in the same rhythm and pace. There might be a delay in becoming adapted to our pace as we have the structure of an old bureaucracy mechanism. However, I won’t blame the civil servants. They may have taken time to come up with this new spirit. Party is also united. There have been supports of all to the government.

Jay Sah is a successful entrepreneur settled in the United States. He is also a team member of a research team of Nepali scientist and doctors who are projected to make Nepal world’s first country to solve AMR problems because of hazardous use of antibiotic.

Sah argues that even though we succeed to contain the global pandemic, the fear of second round of the COVID-19 infections persists if we do not apply extra measures to properly track the patients who travel from one country to another.

Reporters’ Club talked with Sah to talk about possible measures that could be exercised to prevent the second round of infections. Excerpts:

What is second round of COVID infection?

After losing billions of rupees on lockdown for a month and more money to identify the infected people, if a few persons spread the infection from abroad to new people at home, it will be called the second round of infection surge. This can easily destroy our economy and waste our entire effort made during the previous lockdown. The second round of COVID-19 surge has already started in China since they have failed to solve this issue completely. What China is missing to stop second round of surge, which is what the entire world needs to find out before we reopen our economy and resume so that we could prevent the second round of infection.

Why China failed to stop the second round of infection and how we can stop this?

China is making a big mistake. They are testing people using thermometer when they arrive at the airport. They may have forgotten that the fever develops in a person only after the incubation period is over. And this is the time when a person with symptoms can infect entire passengers on that flight, as well as infected person can hide fever by taking any antipyretic medicine. What is the benefit of testing fever of an infected person when he/she has already infected everyone in flight? China is missing Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) before passengers boards their flight in departure country. China needs to order all flight carriers to start using RDT kit developed by Abbot Pharmaceuticals last week. This rapid test kit can give positive and negative result in five minutes and has highest accuracy among any RDT around the world. Most of asymptomatic and all symptomatic infected persons can be barred from traveling before he/she enters departing airport. Nepal needs to learn from China’s mistake and needs to order all flight carriers coming to Nepal to act fast, start using world class Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved RDT kit before passengers enter airport.

Will this Rapid Diagnostic Test kit be enough?

No, the rapid test kit also works only if a person has been infected for previous few days. If a person is infected a day or two ago, result may come negative. Those flight carriers need to ask Abbot Laboratories how many days of isolation RDT kit need from an infected person to show result. Now, then will have to develop a quarantine app which can quarantine the traveler for that many days at his/ her house before the flying date. Obviously, gloves and mask are another two more important thing all passengers need during entire flight to stop getting contaminated.

What is this quarantine app?

This is something new that those flight carriers will have to develop. They can coordinate with the World Health Organization and Apple as well as Google who are already working on developing a world class tracking app. The app Apple and Google is developing tells only who and who came in contact with an infected person week or two week ago. But a little modification in this app, flight company can know if a person is moving all over city or is quarantined in his house. The concept is simple. When I book a ticket, I must download this quarantine app and send a confirmation code to airline company then only I will be able to book ticket. Once app is downloaded, this app can’t be uninstalled without the permission of the government of arrival country. So, suppose if I booked a ticket one month ago, the app would remind me week or two week ago to stay quarantine as required by the five-minute RDT kit. There are chances a person may trick app by leaving phone at home and go out for fun and that’s where the rule to keep this app on phone for two weeks more while reaching destination country applies. If he/she developed a symptom after few days and has infected any other person around him, he will get a jail term for breaking the law. This person can’t infect anyone inside the flight because he won’t have symptoms and rapid test kit will have done its work perfectly before passenger gets into the flight. Only the government of Nepal or flight carrier can uninstall this app from person’s phone no one else after second test. Uninstall process will be locked by a code.

Will Nepal government have to develop this Quarantine App?

No, all Nepal government will have to do is place an order for all flight companies to develop this “Quarantine App and RDT kit test report to travelers right before passengers boards the flight. These flight carriers are big corporation, if they ask, Apple and Google can modify their COVID tracking app according to flight carrier’s need in 2-3 days. All carriers will have to buy rapid test kit from Abbot and have it available right before the passengers enters airport. Every country in the world will love this move from government of Nepal. This “TRACK TEST TRACK” is bets system any flight carrier in world can develop to stop 100% infection transfer from one country to another. Before Nepal opens its international flight, all flight carriers will be ready to filter 100% infected persons without any big task. All Nepal government will need is to pass a circulation to all flight carriers operating in Nepal to flow this “TRACK TEST TRACT” system.

How Did you get this idea in your mind?

The new app Apple and Google is struggling to develop today, India developed 4 days ago and named “AROGYA SETU”, Nepal could have become first country in world to develop this app a year ago. I had developed idea of this tracking app two year ago and shared with government of Nepal. I have recorded proof. But, the Government of Nepal ignored my idea to be first country in world to develop this unique tracking app. This app, if developed by Nepal even a year ago, could have saved entire world from coronavirus crisis. This is how my mind works. Therefore, I am leading a team of scientists and doctors who is going to make Nepal’s world’s first country to solve the problem of antibiotic resistant problem in two years from now.

Is there any other way to stop this second round of COVID surge?

Yes, the government will have to develop a virus spread stop kit (VSS KIT) specially developed to suit mass. It doesn’t cost more than NRS 1000-2000. But it can change human behavior of how we eject our virus in air when we are in either asymptomatic or symptomatic infected situation. This kit can be produced in Nepal and we won’t need to import anything from any other country. It is like a first aid kit. Again, Nepal will be the first country in the world to use this VSS KIT. It contains Reengineered masks, handkerchief, tissue paper, and gloves meant to stop 100% viral transfer from a person into air. If government of Nepal wants, I can share my idea of VSS Kit to “QUARENTINE VIRUS INSTEAD OF HUMAN”.
