Lal Babu Raut elected Chief Minister of Province 2

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal’s Lal Babu Raut has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Province 2.

Province Governor Ratneshwor Lal Kayastha appointed Raut as the CM on Wednesday. He is scheduled to take oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.  Elected as a member of provincial assembly from Parsa, Raut is senior Vice-Chairman of FSFN.

Of the total 107 province assembly members in Province 2, Raut has support from 29 FSFN lawmakers and 25 Rastriya Janata Party Nepal  lawmakers.
