Minister warns to punish Medical College and Pharmacy without license



Kathmandu, May 14 . Health and Population Minister Mr. Khag Raj Adhikari warned that the government will take an immediate action against those medical colleges and pharmacies operating without register in the government.

Minister Mr Adhikari has stressed that the government would start its monitoring, Speaking at an interaction organised at the Reporters’ Club in the Capital on Thursday, the UML leader said”the government has started monitoring medical colleges and pharmacies across the country. He stressed that there have been some autocracy in the medical field. He added that the medical mafia would be booked at the earliest. In the view of Minister the loot tantra in the medical has been fostering due to the lack of strong political stability.

Mr. Adhikari has stated that a number of medical colleges and hospitals are found to be operating without license. He opined his experiences while the weekend long investigation which has made under his leadership. On a different note, the Minister said the policies of the health facilities should be amended in order to upgrade the health sectors. He said, we have been conducting the health program under  the policy of 2048 BS. Earlier we had focused in the implement the effective policy for Communicable disease. This time we are going to focus in the Non-communicable disease, Speaking at the interaction program presided by the Reporters’ Club Nepal’s president Mr. Rishi Dhamala.

He said that modern technologies and instruments should be brought in use at the government hospitals. Saying that a deliberation is under way to bring in new policies in the hospitals, Minister Adhikari informed  that the issues would be soon raised in the Cabinet meeting. He further stressed to compile the views regarding to form the New Health Policy from the different related field including the health sectors dignified specialists and lawmaker.

In the occasion, Minister Adhikari has expressed his concern over the deadly outbreak of Hepatitis E and
Jaundice in Biratnagar.He further said that the epidemic would be brought under control at the soonest.

Likewise, He claimed that the Parliamentary Party Leader KP Sharma Oli will be the next Party’s chair from the upcoming 9th general convention. He informs that the health condition of PP leader is now improving. He has also assured that the PP leader KP Sharma Oli will attain the next Parliamentary meeting.
