KATHMANDU, April 13: The government has started to work on its plan to integrate ministries in line with a new organogram.

It may be noted the Council of Ministers few days ago accepted the proposal about new organizational chart of reconstituted ministers, said Spokesperson at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Shibaram Neupane.

“Works are on the progress to determine the structure of reconstituted ministries as approved by the Cabinet meeting,” he said. The Cabinet meeting approved a quota for 2,694 people in 21 ministries, deciding to restructure the ministries.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has the maximum quotas (233) while the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has 46 quotas. The number of ministries was downsized to 21 from 31 as per the government decision.
