Nepal hands over two rhinos ‘Bhadra’ and ‘Rupasi’ to China

KATHMANDU, July 12: Nepal handed over a pair of the one-horned rhinoceros to China amid a special function on Thursday.

Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli handed over Bhadra and Rupasi, two of four rhinos to Ambassador of China to Nepal Yu Hong. The one-and-half year old Bhadra (male) and two years one Rupasi (female) had arrived at Central Zoo in Kathmandu from Chitwan National Park on Wednesday. The rhinos will be kept at parks in Shanghai and Guangzhou, according to National Trust for Nature Conservation official Ram Kumar Aryal.
