India’s detachment from Nepal’s internal affairs making ties positive: Ambassador Acharya

Nilambar Acharya, India-Nepal relation

KATHMANDU, March 15: Ambassador of India to Nepal Nilambar Acharya has said that India’s disinterest in Nepal’s political affairs has made India-Nepal ties positive.

“The relation between India and Nepal was based on political issues in the past. India had direct interest in Nepal’s political affairs. But I have found this has changed now,” he said, talking briefly to Reporters’ Club Nepal President Rishi Dhamala in New Delhi.

“India’s detachment in Nepal’s internal affairs is the key reason the tie between the two neighbors is positive,” he added.

“It’s on the correct path,” he said adding that both countries should work to make it more positive.

“I will leave no stone unturned to take the relation to new height on the basis of changed context,” he added.
