One killed, another injured in police firing in Jaleshower

Gaushala, Sept 11: A woman died and another sustained injury in police firing at Shankarchowk in Jaleshower, Mahottari.

The deceased is Ramshiladevi Mandal, spouse of Shabhu Mandal, from Hatilet in the district.

Police opened fire after demonstrators defied the prohibitory order issued by the local administration in view of security.

According to Binod Silwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mahottari, Mandal was shot in head and died on the spot while another Shaildevi Chaudhary is critically injured in the incident.

Chaudhary received thigh injury and is receiving medical treatment at the District Hospital, Jaleshower. RSS
